Farming at the US Brahmasthan has been organic since 2008. The production has been mostly row crops of wheat, soy beans, corn, sunflowers, milo, and alfalfa — all of which are appropriately rotated over the seasons in the fields. Also, certain land is left fallow seasonally.

The intent has been to regenerate the land. And indeed, it has become much healthier.

Local people have contracted to farm the land, in exchange for a portion of the income. And the farm has been profitable each season.

As well, a few farmers have expressed interest in how our farmers have used cover crops, especially how those covers have suppressed weeds.
